For studies of polymorphism, salt selection, general solid-state development and process development, we have state-of-the-art supporting analytical facilities. We aim to both determine and understand material behaviour. To sustain this, a range of analytical methods and experimental procedures exist for the determination of the physicochemical properties and polymorphism characteristics of study candidates and process intermediates. Such solid state screening data is of invaluable use when correlating expected behaviour of drug candidates during ADME investigations or process development.

Both intrinsic and rate determined in aqueous/non-aqueous/ and biologically relevant fluids (uv determination of concentration). |
| pKa/pH |
The ionisation constant(s) for a given compound are measured via potentiometric titration in relevant media, including pH measurements of known concentrations in aqueous environments. |
| LogP/permeability |
The measured logP value of a compound alongside solubility are key parameters to understand during ADME investigations. In-house measurement uses a standard octanol/water partition calculation
(UV detection basis). |
