Staffed by qualified and experienced chemists, Onyx Scientific is well equipped to tackle even the most difficult synthetic projects.

We have successfully completed thousands of separate synthesis projects involving a whole range of synthetic reactions and transformations. Synthesis projects at Onyx can vary from small scale lead optimisation studies to simple custom synthesis jobs, to multi kilo, multi step GMP synthesis projects.

  Hetrocyclic Chemistry

Synthesis and manipulation of a range of heterocyclic compounds, especially nitrogen containing heterocycles such as pyridines, pyrimidines, pyrazines, imidazoles, purines, thiazoles, quinolines, isoquinolines, quinazolines, benzodiazepines and porphyrins is routine at Onyx.

  Chiral Chemistry

Onyx Scientific has a proven background in asymmetric synthesis, chemical resolutions, and enzymatic transformations.

  Steroids and Carbohydrates

Onyx Scientific has considerable experience in areas of steroidal transformation, particular stereoselective and region selective oxidations, reductions and derivatisations.

Our expertise with carbohydrates is varied, involving the construction of sugar building blocks, di- and tri-saccharide synthesis and also selective couplings to various acceptor substrates. We have particular experience of glycoside synthesis on the multi-kilo scale under GMP conditions.
