Dr. Derek Londesbrough - R&D Director
Derek is responsible for R&D operations at Onyx and brings with him more than 10 years experience in the pharmaceutical and fine chemical industry. He has previously worked for Chirex, CPL Aromas
and Contrachem. Derek's main areas of expertise are in route discovery and selection, process development and scale up.
Dr. Julian Northen - Research Manager
Julian is Onyx's principal medicinal chemist and is responsible for lead optimisation services at Onyx. Having worked in both the UK and USA in a variety of therapeutic areas Julian brings an
important level of expertise and experience to Onyx.
Dr. Doug Henderson - Chemical Development Manager
Doug is a founding member and highly experienced development chemist. Having gained more than 25 years experience of chemical development and organic synthesis with Chirex, Doug is closely involved
in all aspect of process optimisation at Onyx.
Simon Olley - Analytical Manager
Simon is a founding member having previously being responsible for analytical activities with Chirex. Simon brings with him more than 10 years experience and leads Onyx's specialist team of
analysts.
Dr Philippe Fernandes - Solid State Scientist
Philippe worked for six years as a PDRA at the Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences in Glasgow, where he specialised in crystallographic investigations of pharmaceuticals.
Philippe joined Onyx to support and develop the company’s solid-state service offering.
Dave Waldram - Operations and Safety Manager
Dave is a founding member of the company and brings with him more than 25 years experience in chemical development and pharmaceutical manufacturing. He is responsible for kilo scale production and
safety operations at Onyx.
David Ansell - Quality Assurance Manager
David is responsible for Onyx's quality assurance program which encompasses everything from analytical procedures to full GMP batch release. He brings with him more than 20 years experience in
pharmaceutical quality management and GMP production. |
